ARC-pocket is Windows pocket PC software and is included in the Scannermaster RSC2 remote head kit for Uniden BC785/796 and Pocket PC.

With the RSC2 kit you can build your Uniden bc785/796 safely in the trunk of your vehicle and use your pocket PC to control your scanner, the kits includes all parts to build an external volume/squelch control (no soldering, nor drilling required!)

The RSC2 remote kit and ARC-pocket software are sold/distributed by Scannermaster Corp. USA. BuTel does not sell the RSC2 kit.

This software and the new RSC2 remote head kit were introduced at the Dayton Hamvention 2004 and is now available from Scannermaster (sales desk: 1-800-SCANNER ) .

RSC2 kit contents:

- ARC-pocket Pocket PC2002/2003 virtual control software (CDrom)
External Volume/squelch control kit containing:
- Original Uniden volume/squelch control mounted on pcb
- Original Uniden volume/squelch knobs
- 15 feet special shielded cable for external volume/squelch control
- PCB connectors are already mounted : no soldering!
- Original Uniden pre-drilled bottom cover for external volume/squelch control: no drilling!

Pocket PC System requirements (a pocket PC is not included in the kit):
Windows CE - Pocket PC version 2002 or 2003
Pocket PC must have an external serial connection (cables not included, contact supplier of pocket PC. It is not possible to use USB.
The popular HP 19xx pocket PC series can NOT be used, these ppc's do not have a serial port.
